    1. WHITENING COSMETICS COMPOSITION COMPRISING ORIENTAL MEDICINE EXTRACT BEING IMPROVE TYROSINASE INHIBITOR(PAT - KR20090075893)
JI HYE JA, JUNG HYUNG WOOK, KIM MI SUK, AN JUN HYUK, PAEK WHA KYUNG. Publication: 2009/07/13.

"A whitening cosmetic composition containing a herbal medicine extract having inhibition effect of tyrosinase is provided to have excellent tyrosinase inhibition activity, whitening effect with safety in a human body. A whitening cosmetic composition comprises 0.0001-10 weight% of Cnidium officinale extract, 0.0001-10 weight% of Angelica tenuissima Nakai extract, 0.0001-30 weight% of Pueraria thunbergiana extract, 0.0001-30 weight% of Rheum undulatum extract, 0.0001-10 weight% of Terminaliae fructus extract, 0.0001-10 weight% of Rehmanniae radix Crudus extract, and 0.0001-10 weight% of Houttuynia cordata Thunberg. The cosmetic composition is used in a form of skin, milk lotion, nutrition cream, massage cream, nutrition essence. The herbal medicine extract is obtained by filtering and maturing at room temperature (20-25 DEG C) for seven days."

    2. Study on Inhibited Agents of Tyrosinase for Eu-melanin Production.
TAKAYAMA MAKIKO (Kyushu Sangyo Univ.) TOKUNAGA HIROKO (Kyushu Sangyo Univ., Fac. of Eng.) MITSUIKI SHINJI (Kyushu Sangyo Univ., Fac. of Eng.) SAKAI MASASHI (Kyushu Sangyo Univ., Fac. of Eng.).

"The tyrosinase produced from .ALPHA.-melanosyle in human skin cell by photodegration of ultraviolet light stress in sunlight should serve to protectorganisms from the stress, being converted to the Eu-melanin through metabolic pathway of dopachrom from tyrosine. The object of study is to evaluate the effect of many kinds of inhibited agents (whitening reagents) on Eu-melanin production. The effect of inhibited agents extracted from a plant samples on tyrosinase activity has examined from the change of production amounts of dopachrome (.LAMBDA.=475nm) against time. The activity measurement of various inhibition agents were carried out under the conditions of pH7.0, and at 30.DEG.C. by use of plate and spectrophotometer methods. As a result inhibited effect of Houttuynia cordata composition for tyrosinase showed a maximum comparing with other plants. Furthermore inhibitors of a low molecule for tyrosinase were confirmed during composition separated with Superdex column."
